App check-in with GPS and offline mode
For the people who come back every day: staff, members and contractors scan the QR code with the GuestTrack Check In app, and you know the check-in happened at the site.
Know they were there
Visitors keep using the web page. People you know use the app.
Scanned at the site
A QR code is a link, and a link can be saved or shared. Set a code to app only and it works only when it is scanned with the app camera by someone who is signed in.
Checked against the location
The app takes one location reading at the moment of check-in and GuestTrack compares it with the place you set for that check-in point. Where you allow it, people near the point check in with one tap and no scan.
Works with no signal
In a basement, on a farm or at a remote site, the check-in is saved on the phone straight away and sent when the phone is back online.
How a check-in works

Scan, or tap a point nearby
The app lists the check-in points nearby and opens the camera in one tap. It accepts GuestTrack QR codes only.
Check in
The person fills in the form for that point. If the point asks for location, the app takes one reading.
Done, online or not
The check-in is saved on the phone at once. With a connection it reaches GuestTrack in seconds; without one it is sent later, and the app shows when it has been accepted. When they leave, they check out in the app the same way.
You set the rules for each check-in point
A check-in point is a place people check in at, with its own QR code. Every point works with the app. To make one stricter, open Check-in points in the dashboard and change its Settings. Your other points stay as they are.
- How people check in
- Web page and app, as standard. App only: the web check-in page is turned off for this point. App only with location. Or app by location, with no scan.
- Check-out
- Record where each check-out is made. A check-out is never refused; one made away from the point is flagged for review.
- Location
- Drag a pin on the map, use the address of the point or the spot where you are standing, or type in coordinates.
- Allowed radius
- How far from that point a check-in can be, in metres.
- Required GPS accuracy
- How precise the phone’s reading must be before it counts.
- If location cannot be verified
- Block the check-in, or save it and flag it for review.
- Offline check-in
- Allow it in the app or not, and how long a saved check-in can wait before it must be sent.
Phone location is evidence, not proof. It is reliable outdoors and to the nearest building, and less so between floors or deep inside one. Set the radius and the review rule to suit the site.
Built for daily use
The form you already have
The app shows the same check-in form as the web page for that QR code, including required fields and signatures.
One record, never two
A check-in saved offline is sent once. A retry on a poor connection does not create a second visit.
The time it happened
An offline check-in keeps the time the person scanned the code, not the time the phone reconnected.
Sign in once
People stay signed in. The app opens on the points nearby, with the scanner one tap away, so a daily check-in takes a few seconds.
Access you control
Invite people with the Self check-in only role. They can check themselves in and see nothing else in your account.
Location only when it is needed
The app reads location once when it is opened, to list the points nearby, and once at a check-in or check-out that asks for it. It never tracks people in the background, and people who only scan codes are never asked.
